Join us for Children's Sunday School!

Mission: Growing in Christ Through Worship, Learning, Fellowship, and Service

Who: Children ages 4 yrs. – 5th grade 

When: Sunday mornings 9:30am 

Where: The Sunday School classroom is found on the first floor of the education wing, first room on the right.

Why: To connect Sunday School to the church year with lessons from the week’s Gospel readings.

How: Student lessons are from the Spark Lectionary curriculum.

This curriculum uses the following format:

• Gather – Begin the day by gathering together and trying a warm-up activity
• Open the Bible – Open Bibles and explore the day’s story
• Activate Faith – Get moving and become engaged in the story they just read by using their leaflets
• Send – Finish with a closing activity and prayer

Details:

Each Sunday a team of 2 teachers present the lesson to the students. Following the lesson the teachers bring the children to the sanctuary for worship (approximately 10:10am). This arrangement allows children to be with their parents during the worship experience. 

We extend our ministry by having monthly family activities. These activities are usually after worship on Sunday. We offer a light lunch followed by activities that support our mission: Growing in Christ through worship, learning, fellowship, and service.
