Attention families with children – it is summer camp time!
After a year of no camp, Lutheran camps are making plans for a fun and safe summer. Programs are available for elementary school children through high school youth, and from half-week to full week experiences. If you are interested in sending your child/youth to Lutheridge, Lutherock, or Camp Agape this summer, financial
assistance / scholarships are available through St. James to cover part of the cost. For more on summer opportunities visit www.novusway.org or https://agapekurebeach.org and for financial assistance please speak with Pastor Tony.
In order to provide an opportunity to safely worship and commune together, there will be a Drive-In Communion service on Wednesday, April 28 at 6:30 p.m. We will be gathering in the Garden Lot at St. James. We ask that you drive into the lot and park in alternating spaces. More details and the bulletin will be sent next week.
CCM FOOD PANTRY
I’m looking out on a sunny day at our drive-through pantry for the first time in about a week! Praise the Lord! We also are praising the Lord for a marvelous response to the annual Scouting for Food drive earlier this month. I know many of your congregations sponsor Boy Scout troops. So far they have collected and brought in a record-smashing 14,000 lbs.! And it’s still coming in. Much of that already has been shared with our satellite pantries scattered around the county.
Donations can be dropped by the church during office hours. Pull up under the Portico and call the office. 704-786-0166
Our current big needs are:
As always, we especially seek low sodium items, no-added-sugar items, and whole grain items.
