Stewardship 2020 Letter

 December 23, 2019

To our Sisters and Brothers in Christ at Saint James Lutheran Church,

Over the past weeks, members of Saint James Lutheran Church have been united in reflecting upon our abundant blessings during our 2020 Stewardship Congregational Mailings.

On Commitment Sunday, we invited all members of Saint James Lutheran to indicate a response to God's gifts in their lives. We do this because:

  • God has asked us to be deliberate and cheerful givers.
  •  Fulfillment of a faith commitment is an expression of our faith
  • A written response is one way we respond to what God has first given us and demonstrate that God is first in our lives.
  • A family's response enables the household to make intentional decisions about financial matters and allows us to set other priorities.
  • Our response allows the church to plan for ministry.

We sincerely thank everyone that completed the Pledge and Time and Talent on Commitment Sunday. As full and equal partners in the Gospel, we share in God's work to do ministry with our church family. If you were not able to join us in worship, it is not too late. Please return your commitment card to the church office.

We pray that the 2020 Stewardship has afforded you the time to rejoice in the abundance of your blessings. We rejoice with you in the possibilities for ministry in our congregation. God has indeed richly blessed us!
