Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America’s purpose statement is: As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship of Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and world.
The Esther Circle meets on the first Monday evening of the month at 7:00 pm in the home of members. Chairman is Sandra Faggart. Our ongoing projects are donating items to CCM each month, monetary donations to Project Noah and Salvation Army, and contributions to CVAN and NC Disaster Relief.
The Mary Magdalene Circle meets the first Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am in the fellowship hall of the church. Chairman is Jean Beasley. 2019 Accomplishments included donations to Cabarrus Opportunity School, Cooperative Christian Ministry, Project Noah, and Children's Coat Drive. Provided meals to My Father’s House, Opportunity House, and Salvation Army Night Shelter. Provided juice boxes for the Easter Egg Hunt, served meals during the Vacation Bible School, provided cookies for Trunk or Treat, served as greeters for Sunday’s church service every other month, and social events (July and Christmas Luncheon)
